Most driveway problems are foundation problems. A thin layer of tarmac over a poor sub-base will ripple, crack and pond no matter how neat it looked on day one. Because Dinsdale Contracts builds highway pavements for a living, your driveway gets the same construction logic: excavation to a designed depth, a compacted stone sub-base, then binder and wearing courses laid hot and rolled to refusal.
You deal with a family firm that has traded from Cumbria since 1981, not a crew that knocked on the door with a part load of asphalt. The quote is written, itemised and priced from a site visit. The work is programmed with you, done in normally one to two days once excavation allows, and the site is left clean. One customer put it plainly: the job was left immaculately clean.
Edgings, drainage falls and manhole covers are dealt with properly rather than surfaced over. If your existing base is sound and honestly only needs a new top, we will tell you that, and price the smaller job.

Fair questions
How long does a new driveway take?
A typical domestic driveway is excavated and based in a day and surfaced the next, weather allowing. Larger drives and farm entrances are programmed over more days and you will know the plan before we start.
How soon can I drive on it?
Foot traffic the same evening, vehicles usually after two to three days depending on temperature. We confirm timings when we finish, and err on the side of the surface.
Why not take the cheap quote from the lads with leftover tarmac?
