Dinsdale Contracts has been laying asphalt across Cumbria since 1981: carriageways, car parks, estate roads, footways and industrial yards, for councils, principal contractors and private clients.
The firm is certified to National Highways Sector Schemes 16 and 23 for small scale pavement repairs, integrated within an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. In practice that means method statements before work starts, calibrated equipment, temperature and compaction discipline on site, and records you can hand to a clerk of works without apology.
Recent and notable work includes surfacing at Manchester Airport, the Harraby Cycle Track in Carlisle, and grounds work at Lowther Castle near Penrith. The same paver, roller and crew that handle a runway pavement turn up for a village car park. No job is priced as too small.

Do you work for private clients or only councils?
Both. The order book runs from National Highways sector scheme work through to farm roads and village halls. The crew and the standard are the same on every job.
Can you work around a live site?
Yes. Much of our surfacing is done at night or in phased sections with traffic management, so a depot, school or car park can keep operating while the work goes in.
What areas do you cover?
Cumbria is home ground, and contracts run nationwide: Manchester Airport is on the job list. If the programme suits, distance is not the problem.
